When does the school start and end?
The school operates for 6 weeks. The new dates for the 2021 program will be announced in March 2021.
How much does the summer program cost?
There is a $25.00 registration fee per student or $50.00 per family if enrolling two or more students, due at time of enrollment. Tuition is $150.00 per child for the first child and $50.00 for each additional child. Need Assistance? Contact Project Director for more details.
What ages can attend Freedom School?
Scholars may attend once they have completed Kindergarten, and we serve them all the way through 8th grade.
I have more than one child. Can both be accepted to the school?
Yes, if space is available.
How much time must I commit per week for parent involvement?
The minimum is 1 hour per week in addition to attending weekly parent meetings.
Where will the school be housed?
The new location for Freedom School will be announced in May 2021.
Is this a year round school?
Not yet. LightWave's CDF Freedom School operates only during the summer as a six week full time program.
Is there an aftercare program available?
Typically we offer aftercare if there is a demand. The aftercare program, when available is offered for an additional fee.
How is the LightWave Education CDF Freedom School funded?
We are completely funded by the generosity of our community. Grants, donations and private funding sources are sought and gratefully accepted.
